VALLEY FINANCIAL EXTENDS DEADLINE

Directors of Valley Financial Corp. have extended until July 15 their drive to sell at least $8 million worth of stock necessary before they can open the Roanoke-based Valley Bank.

The extension was necessary because the original deadline expired Saturday. The company said it wants to raise as much as $12 million from selling shares at $10 each.
