RADFORD - Christmas tree collection for city residents continues through Jan. 13.
Residents may leave Christmas trees for pickup at their regular trash collection sites or take them on Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., to the Recycle Drop-Off Center on 17th Street across from the Public Works Building.
Trees will be mulched and the mulch made available for residents to take home in their own containers.

WCC home courses
WYTHEVILLE - Seventeen home study courses will be offered by Wytheville Community College starting this month.
In these courses, students do not attend traditional classes but work at home using print materials, audiotapes, videotapes and other devices.
All classes except those in the child-care field will meet initially on campus at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Grayson Hall Commons for course orientation and to receive handout materials and buy textbooks.
Course materials and testing opportunities will be available all semester at the college's Student Support Services office in Bland Hall on campus, at its Galax Education Center, or its Smyth County Education Center at Atkins.
Two economics courses, a psychology course and a marketing course are offered as telecourses through Blue Ridge Public Television. Transfer and occupational courses are also among those offered.

Aerobics training
RADFORD - The National Dance-Exercise Instructors Training Association and Radford University's physical education department will sponsor two aerobics instructor's certification workshops Jan. 28, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., in Peters Hall at Radford University.
An aerobics re-certification workshop will be offered, Jan. 29, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., in Peters Hall.
Early registration for either workshop is $130. After Jan. 14, there's a $10 late fee. A $10 per-person discount applies for groups of four or more who register together.

Tree recycling
PULASKI - The Pulaski County Public Service Authority will collect Christmas trees to recycle into mulch at Ingles Mountain Landfill.
Residents may drop off trees at these locations:
behind the former Jefferson School (7 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily).
at the county garage, Bagging Plant Road, Dublin.
behind Lightnin' Lube, Virginia 114, Fairlawn.
Pickup at residences begins Monday in Pulaski. Collections in the larger subdivisions and the rural sections of the county follow.
When leaving trees at regular residential trash pickup locations, residents should secure rees so they do not blow away.
