The Theater at Lime Kiln will hold its Fifth Annual Auction and Dinner Gala on Jan. 28, 6 p.m., at Moody Hall on the Virginia Military Institue campus.
The event includes a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by a live auction, dinner and a performance of ``The Midnight Wedding,'' Lime Kiln's new one-act play.
Events such as this one help keep ticket prices reasonable for Theater at Lime Kiln programs including outreach programs to schools.
The theater is a non-profit organization supported in part by grants and business and private contributors.

Mill Mountain play
``Keely and Du,'' is Mill Mountain Theatre's production in Theatre B from Jan. 20-29.
The play centers around the irreconcilable beliefs of two very different women. Faced with a crisis, the characters transcend their circumstances and their beliefs and achieve a powerful bond.
The performances are Jan. 20 and 27, 8 p.m.; Jan. 21 and 28, 2 and 8 p.m.; Jan. 22 and 29, 2 p.m.; Jan. 24-26, 7:30 p.m.
Reservations and ticket purchases can be made at the box office Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tickets for the Jan. 19 preview at 7:30 p.m. are $9. Tickets are $10-$12. Theatre B is at 20 E. Church Ave., Roanoke.
