Hall is the winningest head coach in Virginia public high school history. Bassett (7-5 overall, 7-4 Seminole District) managed to cut the lead to one, 66-65, after Martinsville missed two one-and-one opportunities late in the second overtime.
Talley, who finished 11 points, was fouled with seven seconds left and hit the free throws to give the Bulldogs (9-3, 9-1) a three-point lead. The Bengals' Chris Hairston, who scored all of his 12 points in the first half, missed a 3-pointer to tie the game at the buzzer.
Michael Martin led Martinsville with a game-high 26 points despite fouling out in the first overtime. Manti Venable added 13 for the Bulldogs.
Tyree Hairston led Bassett with 24 points, and Devonne Claybrook had 12.

RIDGEWAY - Darrell Wilson hit a 3-pointer with 8 seconds to play to send the game into overtime, then he and Corey Wilson combined for nine points in the extra period as the Lancers avoided a Piedmont District upset.
Darrell Wilson scored a game-high 26 points and made two 3-pointers for Laurel Park (9-4, 9-2). Warrick Scott scored 11 and Corey Wilson added 10.
Tony Hagwood led Magna Vista (3-8, 3-7) with 19 points. Elliot Millner had 18, Leroy Valentine 15 and Jermaine Simmons 11 for the Warriors.

COLLINSVILLE - The Cavaliers raced to a 17-8 lead after the first quarter and never trailed in notching a Piedmont District victory.
Nat Law had 27 points - 12 in the second quarter - as Fieldale-Collinsville (10-4, 9-2) forged a 37-18 halftime advantage. Law had 15 points on 3-point goals.
William Merritt led Gretna with 25 points.

NEW CASTLE - Robert Roman scored 14 points to get the Cougars going in the first half and Brian Holloway provided a third-quarter spark to help them finish off the Rockets in a Pioneer District game.
Roman scored 17 points to lead Covington (7-4, 4-1), which led 23-13 after one period. Holloway scored six of his 14 points in the third quarter, as the Cougars upped their lead to 64-44.
Corey Whittaker scored 14 points for the Cougars, and Erwin Twitty added 12.
Robbie Huffman led Craig County (3-5, 1-2) with 23 points. Jamie Fisher scored 20 and made four 3-pointers.

GLADE SPRING - Eric Reynolds missed one free throw but hit the second with one-tenth of a second left to help the Rebels hand the Maroons their first loss in the Hogoheegee District.
Chris Castle led the way for PH (7-4, 5-3) with 27 points, and Reynolds finished with eight.
Aaron Andrews scored 20 points to pace George Wythe (8-3, 6-1). Jon Ervin scored 13 points and Jason Otey added 11.

BLAND - Monty Matthews scored all of his 13 points in the third quarter to help Bland take a nine-point lead and hold on for the non-district victory over Shawsville.
Shannon Havens also had 13 for Bland (5-4) and Smokey Parmenter added 10.
Shawsville (1-11) was led by Jeremy Nichols, who had a game-high 14 points, including three 3-pointers. The Shawnees, who hit seven 3-pointers for the game, also got 11 from Tony Walker.

MARTINSVILLE - Rod Mitchell scored 22 points and led four Chiefs in double figures as Carlisle pasted Lynwood Christian in a non-district game.
Every player scored for Carlisle (10-2), which reached 100 points for the second time this season. Joseph McClinton had 19 points and Ryan Smith and Kevin Warren added 18 each.
Kevin Kung led Lynwood Christian with 19 points.

MOUTH OF WILSON - Oak Hill blasted out of the gates to a 30-6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back
Oak Hill (20-1), the top-ranked team in USA Today's high school basketball poll, had six players in double figures, led by Ron Mercer's 20 points.
Ricardo Crumble added 16 points and 10 rebounds and Mike McFarland tossed in 15, including three 3-pointers, in the win. Venson Hamilton poured 12 points for Oak Hill, and Rob Williams and Melvin Whitaker each scored in 10. Williams also dished out nine assists, and Whitaker was three blocks short of a triple double, grabbing 10 rebounds and turning away seven shots.
Corey Nesmith led Charlotte Christian (8-8) with 14 points, and Courtney Nesmith added eight points.
