The Raiders (5-7 overall, 3-3 VIC) tied the score at 71 in regulation on Hal Johnson's basket with 15 seconds left. Johnson, who led North Cross with 28 points, reached 1,000 points for his career.
Roanoke Valley Christian (9-5, 4-3) got 21 points from Joel Nester and 16 from Richard Booth.
John Prillaman added 16 and William Watkins 15 for the Raiders.

Tony Joyce scored 26 points as the Celtics (3-10, 2-4) edged the Bulldogs in the VIC.
Joyce made three 3-pointers, and Brendan McCarthy, who finished with 10 points, made two for Roanoke Catholic. Phil Bratton had 12 rebounds, and Rod Tasco added 11 points and 11 rebounds as the Celtics dominated the boards.

Gina Guthrie and Rebecca Bryant - both eighth graders - led Roanoke Valley Christian (9-2, 4-0), scoring 20 and 10 points respectively. Guthrie contributed 12 steals for the Eagles.
Emily Cook scored 16 points for North Cross (1-7, 1-5).

Felicia Manns dominated inside, and the Colonels (7-3, 1-3) built a 28-point halftime lead en route to a Roanoke Valley District victory over the Patriots (0-12, 0-6).

Lynchburg Christian Academy used its height advantage and strong rebounding to earn a Blue Ridge Conference District victory.
Mandy Britt and Shannon Carroll, Lynchburg Christian's 6-foot-1 forwards, held Celtics leading scorer Abby Dickson to a pair of free throws in the first half. Dickson came alive for Catholic (7-5, 5-2) in the second half, scoring eight points to go along with her team-high eight rebounds. Teresa Monsour added 12 points.
