TIGHT END FROM ASHLAND PICKS FLORIDA

All-Group AAA tight end Erron Kinney from Patrick Henry High School in Ashland has committed to Florida, a family member confirmed Tuesday night.

Kinney, rated one of the top five prospects in Virginia, visited Florida, Boston College and Oregon State and had trips scheduled for Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Kinney, a 6-foot-6, 240-pounder who played wide receiver as a senior, was unavailable for comment. However, his younger brother said that all remaining visits would be canceled.
