Leading 66-61 with 7:13 left, the Monarchs (9-8, 4-0) launched an 11-1 run - with Jones leading the way - to take a 77-62 lead with 2:08 left. William and Mary (4-9, 3-1) never trailed by fewer than 10 points the rest of the way.
Petey Sessoms scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for ODU, and David Harvey added 13 points. Jones was 6-for-7 from 3-point distance, and Sessoms was 2-for-3.
David Cox led the Tribe with 17 points.

FERRUM - Kevin Keatts had 23 points as the Panthers defeated the Bishops to take sole possession of first place in the Dixie Conference.
Ferrum (8-7, 4-0) also got 22 points from Marcus Toney and 20 from John Breedlove in winning its fifth consecutive game.
Shawn Mobley led North Carolina Wesleyan (8-6, 1-3) with 30 points.

EMORY - Nate Schwab scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Tigers slip by the Wasps in double overtime in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game.
Schwab made 11 of 19 field-goal attempts, including a jumper with 19 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 85.
Hampden-Sydney (14-1, 9-0) won its third overtime decision in four games.
Cricker Lauderback, who led Emory and Henry with 28 points, hit a 3-pointer late in the first overtime to tie the score at 94.
The Tigers got 26 points from Todd Kerr and shot 62 percent from the field.
Former Floyd County High School star Jason Light added 20 points for the Wasps (6-8, 5-4).

LYNCHBURG - Peter Aluma scored 20 points, and the Flames overcame 39 percent field-goal shooting to beat the Buccaneers in the Big South Conference.
Charleston Southern (7-9, 3-3) trailed 43-31 with 10:45 remaining in the second half, but went on a 23-13 run to close to 56-54 with 1:59 to go.
Jason Dixon then hit two jumpers to give Liberty (7-8, 3-3) a 60-54 lead with 41 seconds remaining.
Charleston Southern pulled to 61-58 with 10 seconds left, but Aluma hit two free throws with nine seconds to play.
Eric Burks led the Bucs with 29 points and four assists. Jason Dixon had 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Flames.

RICHMOND - Bernard Hopkins had 23 points and 14 rebounds, and the Rams overcame a rash of turnovers and poor first-half shooting to beat the Panthers.
Playing the Division II team for the first time in 22 years, VCU was plagued by 24 turnovers and fell behind 36-25 during a first half in which it made eight of 22 field-goal attempts (36.4 percent).
But the Rams (13-5) held Virginia Union (12-3) to 9-of-27 shooting in the second half, when VCU hit five 3-pointers.
Hopkins helped the Rams to a 46-29 rebounding advantage.
VCU, which shot 43.5 percent for the game, also got 15 points from Tyron McCoy and 14 from Sherman Hamilton.
Ben Wallace led Virginia Union with 19 points before fouling out with 1:50 to play. James Marshall added 15 points for the Panthers, who shot 38.5 percent, and Luther Bates had 12.

HARRISONBURG - Louis Rowe had 31 points, five rebounds, four assists and four blocks to power the Dukes to their fifth consecutive victory, a CAA decision over the Spiders.
Rowe made 10 of 16 field-goal attempts to help JMU (9-5, 4-0) hit 58.5 percent.
Richmond (4-11, 0-4) led 44-33 at halftime, but shot 30 percent in the second half and lost its fifth consecutive game.
The Dukes shot 60.7 percent in the second half, hitting five of seven from 3-point range.
Darren McLinton added 20 points for JMU on 7-for-10 shooting and Kent Culuko had 11 points.
Kass Weaver led Richmond with 26 points, Adam Mobley had 18 and Eric Poole contributed 10.

HARRISONBURG - Robby Pack scored 40 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, and Shawn Peterson added 28 points and 11 boards as the Quakers routed the Royals in an ODAC game.
Guilford (8-8, 6-5) led 55-50 at halftime after going 19-for-37 from the field. In the second half, the Quakers pulled away, hitting 22 of 38 shots (58 percent).
Eastern Mennonite (4-11, 2-8) shot 38 percent (16-of-42) from the field in the second half.
Rod Martin led the Royals with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Virginia Western CC 97, Thomas Nelson CC 75: Tremayne McHeimer scored a game-high 36 points to lead the Blue Stars to a romp over the Gators.
Mark Greenburg added 13 points and David Hale chipped in 11 for Virginia Western (7-0), which opened a 17-point lead at halftime and cruised the rest of the way.
Thomas Nelson (4-3) was led by Jarrell Beck, who scored 18 points. Raymond Turner added 16 and Emery Saunders had 14.
UNC Wilimington 81, American 75: In Washington, former Salem High School standout Mark Byington scored 16 points to help the Seahawks (8-8, 2-2) defeat the Eagles (2-14, 1-3) in the CAA. Byington, a freshman guard, hit four 3-pointers, and Corey Stewart had 22 points and 16 rebounds for UNC Wilmington.
