LOGGER DIES IN ACCIDENT

A 39-year-old Carroll County man was killed Monday afternoon in a logging accident in the Buzzards Roost section of Wythe County.

Gary Clyde Tate of Hillsville was crushed when log skidder he was using on a steep hill rolled over him, said Lt. Col. Doug Cooley of the Wythe County Sheriff's Office.
