NATIONAL ACTIVITY PROFESSIONALS DAY

Wheatland Hills Retirement Center and Wheatland Nursing Care celebrate National Activity Professionals Day today. The annual celebration salutes activity professionals in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda.

The event is part of National Activity Professionals Week, which ends Saturday.

Wheatland Hills Retirement Center's activity staff includes Brenda Claytor, activity director, and Meredith Estep. Wheatland Nursing Care's staff includes Lillie Roop Fortner, activity director, and Rincey Eanes, dietary manager, who also helps with events. Activities have included dances, educational programs, dinners, and family gatherings.

Volunteers also participate in activities for residents, according to Wheatland Hills.
