`MASSING OF THE COLORS' SUNDAY

The Roanoke chapter of the Military of the World Wars will hold a "Massing of the Colors" at 3 p.m. Sunday at the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church on Airport Road in Roanoke.

The Massing of the Colors is a patriotic ceremony that pays tribute to the nation's war dead. It will involve about 50 local color guard units from the military, veterans groups and civic organizations.

It is open to the public at no cost.
