SAMARITAN 2ND VICTIM IN ATTACK

Two Southwest Roanoke men have been charged with beating two men and robbing one of them about 6 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Donald L. Harris, 24, and Roger L. Banks, 35, both of the 400 block of Day Avenue Southwest, were charged with robbery by force and violence.

Courtney Hubbard, 37, told police he was hit with a brick after he tried to stop an attack on a transient by two men.

Police found Franklin E. Graham, 34, in the 500 block of 5th Street Southwest with his face badly beaten.

The assailants took $13 from Graham, who was treated at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, police said.
