RVD GIRLS' TEAMS FACE LONG, WINDING ROAD TO STATE PLAY

Pulaski County and Cave Spring are in the Northwestern Region girls' tournament next week and the Roanoke Valley District tournament champion has an excellant chance of making the group AAA tournament.

The RVD tournament winner needs to win two home games in the Northwestern Region to make the Group AAA tournament. From there, the going will be much tpougher. That's because Gar-Field, which was 21-0 going into the Cardinal District tournament, likely would be the host for the Northwestern Region title game should the Indians win their first two district tournament contests.
