AGRICULTURAL GROUP TO MEET

Agriculture Commissioner J. Carton Courter III will be the keynote speaker Saturday at the 59th annual Southwest Virginia Agricultural Association meeting at the Southwest Virginia 4-H Educational Center near Abingdon.

The meeting of the association, which covers 14 counties, will start at 9:30 a.m. Committees will discuss concerns having to do with livestock, dairy, crops, tobacco, forestry and conservation, agribusiness, governmental affairs, youth and family.
