"Sales have been very brisk," Tom McNeer, ticket manager, said at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. "We've only got two days to sell them. We haven't eaten lunch yet."
As he spoke, a worker handed him a note, with "We're hungry" scrawled across it.
By the time the office closed at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Tech had sold more than 5,500 seats. Cassell Coliseum holds nearly 10,000 people.
Tickets cost $10 for the public and $5 for Tech students for the 7:30 p.m. game.
McNeer said anyone interested in tickets for tonight's game should pick them up in the morning if possible - he's expecting a line close to game time.
McNeer said he expects a good crowd, especially with the students back in town. When Tech played Clemson University last Friday, the stands were packed, and the students were on spring break.
The difference in a weekend game and a weekday game could make a difference in crowd size, but devoted fans shouldn't take any chances.
The game also will be televised on ESPN.
