AUCTION, TOURS WILL BENEFIT CHILD HEALTH ORGANIZATION

The first annual benefit for the Child Health Investment Partnership and the Roanoke Adolescent Health Partnership will be held April 3, opening night, at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center.

The benefit will provide guests with one of the first opportunities to see the newly restored facility. Guided tours will be in small groups.

Silent and live auctions will feature Bill Meck of WSLS-TV. Auction items include a week's vacation on Bald Head Island, N.C., a full-length fur coat, dinner for eight prepared and presented by the hotel's chef, fine jewelry and more.

The door prize will be a night's stay in the Governor's Suite at the hotel. Guests must be present to win.

CHIP provides comprehensive health services to children living in families with very limited income. RAHP seeks to overcome barriers teenagers have in receiving health care. RAHP operates health centers at schools and in the community where teens can receive basic medical care and counseling for free.
