Because of an artist's error, the amounts free-lance writers Sarah Cox and John Montgomery were paid for writing speeches for Mayor David Bowers in 1994-95 were reversed in a graphic Thursday. Montgomery has been paid $4,245; Cox, $375.

Because of an editorial assistant's error, the time for Rep. Bob Goodlatte's Roanoke community office hours was wrong in the What's Happening calendar in Thursday's Neighbors section. The meeting will be held Tuesday at Melrose Towers from 10:30 a.m.-noon.
