White is joined on the AP's first team by Parry McCluer's Mike McElroy, Rappahanock's Cal Bowdler, Twin Springs' Stacy Ervin and Nandua's Loyal Grimes.
White, a first-team All-Group A selection last year, is a 6-foot-7 senior who this season averaged 20 points, 14.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks while shooting 57.2 percent from the field for a 27-2 team. He averaged 27 points and 18.7 rebounds in the regional and state playoffs, and he had 30 points and 10 rebounds in the state championship game.
McElroy, a 6-5 senior, moves up from the All-Group A second team last year. This season he averaged 18.2 points and 8.0 rebounds to lead Glenvar to the state semifinal round. He scored 35 points against Covington in a regular-season game.
Terry Millirons of Auburn, the only other Timesland player selected, was chosen for the second team. He averaged 19.1 points and 4.1 assists.
Bowdler, a 6-10 senior, averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds. Bowdler, who signed with Old Dominion in November, has been give the Gatorade Circle of Champions award as the state's top prep basketball player.
Ervin, a 6-3 sophomore, averaged 27.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and two steals and has 1,300 points through two seasons. Ervin, who is on pace to challenge for the state's career scoring record, had 32 points in a Group A quarterfinal against Glenvar.
Grimes, a 6-3 senior, averaged 22 points to lead Nandua to a 27-2 record.
William Monroe's Randy Michie is the AP's Group A coach of the year. The 19th-year coach led the Greene Dragons to a 27-2 mark and their second consecutive state title, even though he had to replace eight of his top nine players from last year's 27-1 team.
The Greene Dragons won their last 17 games and captured the Skyline District regular-season and tournament titles as well as the Region B crown.
Michie resigned as William Monroe's coach with a career record of 294-121.
Joining Millirons on the second team is Patrick Bartlett of Clarke County, Ben Hilton of Lebanon, Mike Ratliff of Council and Andre Woodson of Fluvanna County.
