HUNTERS' AIM, ACCURACY QUESTIONED

Last week, on a morning when the dogwoods and redbuds graced the woodlands with streaks and splashes of color, Gerald Duncan killed a fine gobbler in Montgomery County. It weighed 18 1/2 pounds and had big spurs and a thick beard, the kind of bird that makes a turkey hunter proud.

Following the outing, Duncan was reflecting that more hunters in Virginia should be able to savor the mountaintop experience he enjoyed.
