The still, in the Rock Run section of the county, is the second shut down this year. The first was in February, according to department spokesman Robert Chapman.
Dan Warren Boothe, 33, of Martinsville, was arrested after agents seized 117 gallons of untaxed whiskey, 2,400 gallons of mash and three 800-gallon "blackpot" stills.
The still was found in a 20-by-40-foot metal building one-fourth of a mile into a wooded area off John Baker Road. The still was in operation during the raid, Chapman said.
Boothe has been charged with manufacturing alcoholic beverages without a license.
