LET THERE BE LIGHT

My dad, bless his heart, was well trained by his wife and four children - all girls. Daytime or nighttime, he always remembered to lower the toilet seat.

After my second son was born (and realizing I was outnumbered 3-1 at home), I gave up any feeling of nocturnal commode security and resigned myself to groping around in the dark as women have done since the outhouse was placed on the endangered facilities list.

Grope no more, ladies! The His 'n Her NightLight will gently light your way. The motion-activated device not only guides you but also answers the crucial question - ``Is it up or down?.''

The palm-size device, operating on two AA batteries, adheres to the open lid of the toilet. When the seat is down, a calming green light gives a go-ahead signal, and illuminates like a homing beacon in the dark.

If the seat is up, the light glows red and casts a bull's-eye pattern into the bowl, alerting females and providing a handy target for males.
