BRADLEY, Peyton St. Clair, 86, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, May 6, 1995, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mr. Bradley was born in Monroe County, W.Va. on November 28, 1908, a son of the late Buren J. and Edith Hazelwood Bradley. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the Army, a member of DAV and American Legion Post #182, and was retired from R.A.A.P. with 21 years service. Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Irene Bradley; two daughters, Carol B. Jones, Roanoke, Connie B. Echols, Blacksburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger W. and Kathy Bradley, Centreville; three grandchildren, Jennifer Echols and Julie Echols, both of Blacksburg, Chris Jones, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 1995, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
BURKE, John Roy Sr., (""Zeke""), 79, of Blue Ridge, died Sunday, May 7, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Alma Louise Ridgeway Burke, of Blue Ridge; four sons, James Albert Burke, Florida, Johnny Roy Burke Jr., Stewartsville, Robert Shelby Burke, Manassas, Phillip Dean Burke, Goodview; four daughters, Sue Ellen Burke Behmer, Sanford, N.C., Peggy S. Markham, Vinton, Joyce A. DeLong, Hardy, Kathy Lynn Ayers, Vinton; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five nieces. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 10, 1995, 2 p.m. at the Rader Troutville Chapel, with the Rev. Terry L. Nester officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. CLINE, Mary Susan, 91, of Peterstown, W.Va., died Saturday, Mary 6, 1995, at a Pearisburg hospital. Born March 13, 1904, at Peterstown, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Florence Beasley Frazier. Mrs. Cline was a former employee of the Hoechst-Celanese Corp. in Narrows, was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Glen Cline; two brothers, Cronjie Sype and Jim Frazier; two sisters, Macie Blankenship and Rubie Anderson. She is survived by two sons, William Glen Cline and Frank Cline, both of Peterstown, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles Frazier of Salem, andTobe Frazier of Pearisburg; two sisters, Minnie Frazier of Denton, N.C., and Kemie Lucas of Riner; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; five stepgreat-grandchildren. Funer al services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 1995, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, W. Va. with the Rev. Thomas Rice officiating. HASH, Ada Elizabeth, 102, of Roanoke, passed away early Sunday morning, May 7, 1995, at Friendship Manor, Roanoke. Formerly of Franklin County, she was a member of Northminister Presbyterian Church and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star in West Virginia. She had taught school in Fayette County, W.Va. for 46 years. Born October 23, 1892, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Malinda Spencer Hash. She is survived by several cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 1995, at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lowell P. Stovall officiating. PUGH, Ethel Slough, 76, of Buena Vista, died Saturday, May 6, 1995, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She was born in Buena Vista on February 11, 1919, the daughter of the late Howard and Carrie Jenkins Slough. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis W. Pugh; one son, Rodney W. Pugh, four sisters and four brothers. She was a lift time member of the St. John's United Methodist Church. Surviving are one son James Douglas Pugh Sr., Staunton; one sister, Emma ``Ruby"" Hostetter, Buena Vista; one brother, Robert ``Bobby"" Slough, Buena Vista; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and many life long friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Edward H. Johnson. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. RICHARDS, James Hanford Sr., 65, of Roanoke, died Saturday, May 6, 1995. He was a retired barber in Roanoke City with over 30 years service. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the U.C.T. and Fatima Guild. He is survived by his wife, Nancy H. Richards; sons and daughter-in-law, James H. Jr. and Jane Richards, Knoxville, Tenn., William L. Richards, Roanoke; daughter, Stephanie A. Richards, Roanoke; brother, John Paul Richards, Roanoke; sisters, Dessie Drewery, Nellie Cawley, Mary Mountcastle, all of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens by Rev. Ben Peyton. ROBERTSON, Steven Glenn, 37, of Roanoke County, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, May 7, 1995. Steven was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church; a Roanoke County School Bus Driver for 15 years and was a computer operator for Whitey's Processing with 19 years service. He was a life member of the Mount Pleasant Recue Squad with 21 years service and was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Lynn Robertson and his grandparents, George Kingrey, Helen Slaydon and George and Virgin Robertson. Surviving are his parents, Glenn (Whitey) and Ruth Kingrey Robertson, Roanoke County; his sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon Dawn Robertson, Hardy, Teresa Anne and Dennis Brown, Roanoke; a beloved nephew, James Dennis Brown; many aunts and uncles and his very special friends, Dennis and Donna Furrow, Jimmy Conner, Rich and Ralph, and all the members of the Mount Pleasant Rescue Squad. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel Wednesday, May 10, 1995, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry L. Cloninger Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton.
