Roanoke County School Superintendent Deanna Gordon did not use school system stationery to circulate a flier concerning alcoholic-beverage advertising regulations enforced by the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. Incorrect information was provided to the newspaper for a story Thursday.

Because of erroneous information provided by police, a story on April 26 reported an incorrect charge against Shane Ward, 18, of the 300 block of Washington Avenue Southwest. Ward was not charged with malicious wounding in connection with the stabbing of two men in Roanoke on April 24.
