Nine sessions will be offered there in May and June.
Beginning May 28-June 2, participants can take classes in photography, world religions and the historical and geological development of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
One June 4-9 session will look at political hot spots around the world, the future of the former Soviet Union and selected scenes from several plays. A second session will study Roman life, classical societies and love poems.
On June 11-16, a session will focus on presidential speeches and rhetoric, key battles of the Civil War and the musical of Rogers and Hammerstein. A second session will examine the military history and music of the Civil War and war's impact on rural communities.
The June 18-23 session will study the music of Mozart, trends in Western art and the natural beauty of Natural Bridge.
Two sessions will be held June 25-30. One will examine the paintings, poetry and religions of China. The other will focus on the military history of the American Revolution, the architecture of Lexington and the music of the Civil War era.
Each package costs $335, which includes lodging, meals and field trips. Scholarships of $260 are available on a limited basis.
