A MAY 13 opinion by Dianne Friedman, ``Fit the method of teaching reading to the individual child,'' stated incorrectly that Arnold Saari is marketing a phonics-based reading package. Saari, a former elementary-school reading teacher and schools' superintendent and a proponent of phonics, says he is not marketing such a package, nor does he have a financial interest in any reading program.
