WILDERNESS ROAD BICYCLE RIDE|

This year's Wilderness Road Bicycle Ride will take place on June 3, starting between 7 and 9 a.m. at the Montgomery Museum, 300 Pepper St. Three rides will be offered.

The 20-mile ride goes over gentle hills and is appropriate for almost any rider. The 50-mile ride includes many hills in the New River Valley. For the hardiest bicyclist, the 70-mile ride will provide the challenge of a 4,000-foot elevation gain.

Registration fee is $12 for individuals and $30 for families of any size. A social will be held at the Holiday Inn in Blacksburg, 7-9 p.m. on June 2. Participants may register there or earlier by calling Heidi Bernard at 382-5132 days or 552-0604 evenings.
