BOY, 14, SHOT ACCIDENTALLY

A 14-year-old Roanoke County boy was seriously injured in a shooting accident Tuesday afternoon.

Police released few details, but said the teen-ager was shot by a 14-year-old friend.

Roanoke County police were called about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday about an accidental shooting at a home in the 3500 block of Bradshaw Road.

The injured boy was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he was in surgery. Police said they were continuing to investigate.
