CISCO, Jackson, 72, of Salem, passed away Sunday, June 25, 1995 in the Veterans Hospital in Salem. He was a retired Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Salem and served with the U.S. Army during WW II, having received the Silver Star and Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Helen Duffy Cisco; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Ann Layden Bloss and Richard Bloss of St. Louis, Mo.; step son and wife, R. W. and Darlene Burcham of Lexington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Bonnie Driver, Vickie Laws and David Layden; four great-grandchildren, Renee Driver, Sharon Driver, Christina Laws, and Cameron Wayne Laws. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 1995 from the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. W. Wayne McCauley officiating. MONOSKI, Joseph Paul Sr., 84, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, June 24, 1995, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the Korean Occupation Forces after the War. Mr. Monoski retired after 22 years of service with the Air Force and also from the Army Engineers Civil Service with 20 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Monoski; one son, Joseph Paul Monoski Jr., Blacksburg; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Monoski Barlock, Bellefonta, Pa., and Fran M. and Warren DeChant, Montour Falls, N.Y.; two sister-in-laws, Jeanne Monoski, Williamsport, Pa., and Annabelle Monoski, Erie, Pa.; two brother-in-laws and sisters, Bob and Pearl Malstrom, Bethesda, Md., and Frank and Lorraine Lestienne, Ashboro, N.C.; two nieces and four nephews.
