Visitors can speak with the men, women and children at the various encampments and witness life in the 18th century first-hand.
A drill competition will begin July 22 at 11 a.m., followed by a welcome by Del. Morgan Griffith and a public reading, ``The Story of the Struggle.'' Saturday afternoon includes a ladies' afternoon social and children's colonial games.
Colonial worship services will take place July 23 at 10:30 a.m., followed by weapons competitions at 11 a.m., a public reading at 1 p.m. and battle at 2 p.m.
The park is located at milepost 115 on the Blue Ridge Parkway and is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and Monday through October. Admission prices are $4 for adults and $2.50 for students 6 to 18.
