WAY SIGNS WITH GIANTS

The New York Giants have signed running back Charles Way, according to his agent, Sean Holley.

The 6-foot-1, 238-pound Way, out of the University of Virginia, signed a three-year deal worth about $400,000, his agent said. Way is expected to challenge Kenyon Rasheed for the starting fullback position.

The Giants also are close to signing several of their other mid-round picks, but negotiations have slowed with their top draft pick, running back Tyrone Wheatley of Michigan.
