Seventh-graders participating in the search who received state awards are: Paula Anderson, Ryan Curfiss, Aaron Dalton, Nathalie Fassie, Kevin Henderson, Leigh Johnson, Patrick Kilcullen, Jennifer Lucado, Kimberly Lugar, Justin Marlles, Nicole Phillips, Nick Sprague, Mark Stull, Jonathan Tanner, Ian Terrell and Michael Wolter. Nicole Phillips, Leigh Johnson and Jennifer Lucado were also honored regionally for their performances.
Jennifer Carter received a certificate of distinction for her performance on the tests.
COURTNEY KEISTER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Keister of Roanoke, graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in May. She received the honor of inclusion in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
