SHE'S STUCK ON TOYS

A young girl got her hand caught in a bubble gum machine Monday at Ward's Supermarket in Christiansburg while trying to reach for a toy that was stuck.

The girl's hand was caught for "just a few minutes" before store workers used lotion to free the girl's hand, said office manager Patty Altizer.

Christiansburg rescue squad members were dispatched to the scene, but the child's hand was free when they arrived.

"I guess these kids are going to do anything to get these Power Rangers," Altizer said.
