Romance novelist Leanne Banks has sold a trilogy to Silhouette publishers. All three books open in Roanoke, Banks' hometown.
Banks is the author nine books, including her current offering, ``A Date With Dr. Frankenstein.''
She will sign books at Waldenbooks, Valley View Mall, Roanoke, on Saturday from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Banks now resides in Richmond.
`Dreamweavers'
The Art Museum of Western Virginia will exhibit "Dreamweavers" from Friday-Oct. 15. The exhibit includes 40 illustrations for children's imaginative literature, including "Jack in the Beanstalk" and "The Fate of Dollies Lost in Dreams."

Biathlon championship
The Greater Roanoke Valley Biathlon Championship will be held Aug. 12 at 8 a.m. Same day registration beings at 6:30 a.m.
The competition includes a five-mile run and 20-mile bicycling event.
The event is sponsored by the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club.
