KEVIN M. THOMAS of Roanoke recently received Liberty Mutual Insurance Company's Life Plus award for outstanding achievement in sales of life policies. He also received awards for his sales of auto and homeowners' policies.

SHEILA E. WILSON of Roanoke has been elected president of the American Society of Interior Designers for the 1995-96 year.

Wilson works for Healthcare Interiors Inc.

JEFF TINAGLIA, an agent for Farmers Insurance Group, has been honored for his outstanding sales achievements during 1994. He was invited to attend the 1995 annual meeting of Farmers' top sales producers.

THE RADIATION ONCOLOGY DEPARTMENT at Roanoke Memorial Hospitals has been accredited by the American College of Radiology for a three-year term. The accreditation demonstrates that Roanoke Memorial meets the highest standards for cancer management and radiation therapy. The ACR assesses the quality of work performed as well as staff efficiency, physician performance and the adequacy of space and equipment available to the practice.

TOM MOORE of Roanoke earned an outstanding salesman award for 1994 from L.B. Smith Inc. He was inducted into the Eagles' Club for his excellence in sales professionalism and customer service.

L.B. Smith Inc. is a distributor of multi-line heavy construction, mining and quarry equipment.

WANDA P. SEARS and EDWARD R. BARNES , both personal financial advisers with American Express Financial Advisors, Inc. have been named master advisers. To receive the distinction, they established themselves in the top of the company's field force and exceeded stringent financial planning and client service requirements.

JOYCE S. JOHNSON of Roanoke has been awarded the professional insurance designation chartered property casualty underwriter by the American Institute for CPCU. She is works for Thomas Rutherfoord Inc. and is state director of the Virginia State Council of National Association of Insurance Women, International.

McLEOD & COMPANY of Roanoke has been accepted as a member of the Institue of Profit Advisors, a national organization of trained profit enhancement professionals.

BILL HARLOR, operations department manager for Allstate Insurance Company, has been named Business Associate of the Year by the American Business Women's Association North Roanoke Chapter. He began working with Allstate in 1972.

MIKE HIGHTOWER of Roanoke was among six employees of Boddie-Noell Enterprises to be inducted into its President's Club. Individuals have to attain certain operational standards and sales levels, meet high performance restaurant guidelines for a full year, and be involved in their community. Hightower is district manager of sales and service in the Roanoke office.

MARSHALL RALSTEN has been recognized by Ford Motor Company as an engine master technician. To achieve the recognition, individuals must successfully complete all required courses conducted by Ford.

ELIZABETH K. DILLON, a lawyer in Roanoke, has been elected to serve as an at-large member on the Virginia State Bar's Conference of Local Bar Associations' 1995-96 Executive Committee.

Dillon, a senior attorney with Woods, Rogers & Hazlegrove, also is a member of the Roanoke/New River Valley Chapter of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.
