The Catholic Community of Christiansburg will celebrate Mass today at 7 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Cambria Street. The readings will be Wisdom 18: 6-9; Psalm 33: 1, 12, 18-19, 20-22; Hebrews 11: 1-2, 8-19; Luke 12: 32-48; and Matthew 24: 42, 44. Tuesday, the church will celebrate the Assumption at 7 p.m. 382-8028.

Members of the Renaissance Music Academy will perform string music Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the New River Valley on Glade Road in Blacksburg. 552-5273.

\ HOMECOMINGS

Radford's Old Brick Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary and Homecoming Sunday at 11 a.m.. The church was built before 1853 and was used as a stopping place and hospital by Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. The church has been called the "mother church in this section of the country."

Trinity Baptist Church on Robinson Tract Road in Pulaski will have homecoming Sunday. The Rev. Lawrence Nuckolls, a former member, will speak at 11 a.m. 980-4602 or 639-8773.

Asbury United Methodist Church on Stuart Street in Christiansburg will have homecoming Sunday with worship services at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Sleigh from Deveroux Memorial United Methodist Church in Philadelphia will speak.

Willis Canada will perform at Fairlawn Church of God on Prices Fork Road today at 7 p.m. 639-1511.

The monthly gospel sing at the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union Building in Fairlawn is today at 7 p.m. Performing will be the Gospel Strings, the Highland Gospel Singers and special guests Hymns of Zion Singers and Gospel Messengers.
