AUDITIONS TO BE HELD FOR TWO LOCAL PLAYS

Virginia Western Community College will hold auditions for its fall production of Charles Dickens' ``A Christmas Carol'' on Sunday, Aug. 27, from 1-5 p.m. in the Whitman Auditorium. Twenty-five to 50 actors, singers and dancers of all ages are needed. Singers should bring a prepared song, no longer than two minutes.

Showtimers will hold auditions for ``Annie'' on Aug. 19, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Showtimers Studio for girls 6-14 years old. On Aug. 20 from 4-7 p.m., audition will be held for children and adults at the Jefferson Center.
