BOYS WITH GUN STEAL MO-PED FROM TEEN-AGER

Two teen-age boys took a mo-ped from a 16-year-old boy in Southeast Roanoke Thursday night.

About 5:35 p.m., police said two boys brandishing a semi-automatic handgun in the 2000 block of Dale Avenue took the mo-ped from the 16-year-old as he sat on the bike.

About 12:05 a.m. Friday, a Northwest Roanoke man was robbed at gunpoint by an acquaintance. The man knew the robber only by his first name. The robber pointed a large-caliber handgun at the man and took a gold necklace, two rings and $200 in cash.

No one was injured in either incident.
