The brother of the groom, Mr. Vincent K. Copenhaver was his best man. A bagpiper led the couple from the church through the walled church yard; and a reception followed at the Omni Waterfront Hotel, Norfolk. The groom's Godfather, The Rt. Rev'd. Frank H. Vest, Jr., the Bishop of Southern Virginia, gave the invocation at dinner on Thursday evening.

She is general medical officer for the U.S.S. Eisenhower Aircraft Carrier, Norfolk. Lt. Thomas L. Copenhaver, U.S.N., is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and received his law degree from T.C. Williams School of Law, the University of Richmond. He is attached to the Judge Advocate General's Corp., and currently teaches at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Reverend Steve Smith and Reverend Wendell Cover. The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Sue Totten of Roanoke, Va. The bride wore a full length beaded and sequinned traditional white gown with cathedral train. The bride's attendants wore royal purple full length fitted suits.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, was escorted by her father Raymond Totten. Her matron of honor was Mrs. Dawn Smith of King William, Va. The maid of honor was Miss Tina Hansel of Annandale, Va. The remaining attendants were Mrs. Martha ``Candy'' Carden, Mrs. Susan F. Croxton, sister-in-law of the groom, Ms. Margaret Cullinan, Mrs. Barbara H. Hayden, Ms. Robin K. Landis, Ms. Patricia O. Rogers, Mrs. Emily B. Totten, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Malynn D. The bride, a graduate of Northside High and VPI, taught in King William and Hanover Counties, and will teach at Word of Life Academy, Alexandria. Dr. Croxton, a graduate of the College of William and Mary and Southern Seminary is the pastor of Braddock Baptist Church, Alexandria. The couple will reside in Alexandria, Va., following a wedding trip to Hawaii.
Davis-Angell
Carolyn Sue Angell and Roy Gordon Davis, Jr. were married Saturday, June 24 at 1:00 in the afternoon at Boones Mill Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Bobby L. Angell and Jean Linkous Angell of Boones Mill. She is the granddaughter of Harless and Mabel Angell of Boones Mill, Clifford Linkous of Martinsville, and the late Elizabeth Calhoun Linkous. The groom is the son of Roy G. Davis, Sr., of Boones Mill and the late Linda Hagy Davis. He was raised by his grandmother, Betty Davis of Boones Mill. His other grandparents were the late Harvey Davis and the late Oleta and Tom Hagy.
The officiating clergyman for the double ring ceremony was the Rev. Rob Schneider of Boones Mill, pastor of Fairmont Baptist Church.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white off the shoulder gown with a beaded top and a chapel length train trimmed with lace. Her long veil fell in layers from a beaded headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white carnations accented by small purple flowers and purple and white ribbons.
Gina Feazelle of Callaway was the maid of honor. She wore a royal purple tea length dress and carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet. Bridesmaids were Del Feazelle and Paula Galatin, both of Callaway; Angie Lawless and Debbie Lawless, both of Boones Mill; and Samantha Strickland of Glade Hill. Their dressers matched those of the maid of honor and they each carried a single white carnation tied with a purple ribbon.
Roy Davis, Sr. of Boones Mill, father of the groom, was the best man. Ushers were David Angell of Boones Mill, brother of the bride; Mike Kennedy of Boones Mill, cousin of the groom; Chris Hunt of Callaway, Russell Lawless of Boones Mill, and Joel Payne of Rocky Mount. Maranda Smith of Callaway, was the flower girl, and Derrike Hagy of Roanoke, cousin of the groom, was the ringbearer. The candlel ighters were David Angell and Joel Payne.
A program of wedding music was performed by Sharon Guilliams, pianist, of Rocky Mount. ``The Wedding Song'' was sung and played on guitar by Brian Nickel of Boones Mill, and ``Just You And I'' was sung by Amy Hodges and Robert Hodges, both of Boones Mill. Music played on tape included ``Keeper Of The Stars'' and ``Once In A Lifetime''.
Hostess and guest book attendant was Teresa Clemons of Boones Mill, aunt of the groom. Georginea Angell and Julia Angell, both of Boones Mill and cousins of the bride, handed out programs. The wedding was videotaped by Wesley Angell of Boones Mill, uncle of the bride; and photographed by Debra Didlake of Rocky Mount. A nursery was provided during the service by karen Walker and Kimberly Wray, friends of the bride from work.
The reception was held in the church fellowship hall after the ceremony. Serving refreshments were Tammy Angell and Nancy Flora, both of Boones Mill, aunts of the bride; Lisa Hagy and Sheila Hagy, both of Boones Mill, aunts of the groom; Gwen Hagy of Roanoke, aunt of the groom; Clyde Wood of Boones Mill, great aunt of the bride; and Nancy Strickland of Glade Hill, a close friend of the bride's family.
Matthew Flora of Boones Mill, cousin of the bride, Wesley Feazelle of Callaway, and Timmy Lawless of Boones Mill, handed out birdseed after the reception.
The bride has volunteered over 400 hours as a candystriper at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount. She is a honor graduate of Franklin County High School and a 1995 graduate of Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, graduating Cum Laude with as Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Development. She is employed as a lead teacher by Sunshine Station Childcare Center of Lewis Gale Clinic in Salem. The groom is also a graduate of Franklin County High School. He is employed at Wackenhut Security Services, in Salem, where he is a sergeant. Both have been members of the Boones Mill Rescue Squad for several years and are certified through the State of Virginia as Emergency Medical Technicians. The groom is the second lieutenant of the squad.
After a wedding trip to Ocean Isle, North Carolina, the couple will live in Wirtz.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Herbert Cohen of Bowie, Maryland and the late Mr. Morton Friedman. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and is a teacher in the Frederick County, Maryland school system.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory silk and tulle with appliques of white Alencon lace and seed pearls covering the short-sleeved bodice and scattered over the full skirt. She had a waist-length veil and carried a cascade bouquet of red and yellow roses, blue bachelor buttons, deep pink carnations, purple snapdragons and ivy.
Carol Patterson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shannon Thorpe, cousin of the bride, and Kim Brady and Stacy Mounts, friends of the couple. Junior bridesmaid was Jessica Friedman, niece of the groom, and Kelsey Bright, friend of the bride, was flower girl.

Mr. Myron Galleo served his twin brother as best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Bryan Dunbar and Mr. Robert Hedge, II, of Roanoke, and Master Samuel Stephens of Salem, all friends of the groom.
The guestbook was attended by Miss Yolanda Weaver of Roanoke, and programs were attended by Mrs. Theresa Fizer of Montvale. Wedding music was provided by Mrs. Kaye Young, organist, and Mr. Gary Fulsebakke, soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmas Brown of Vinton. She is a graduate of the Virginia Western Community College Dental Hygiene Program and is employed by Dental Associates in Salem as a registered dental hygienist.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Constantino Galleo of Waimanalo, Hawaii who reside in Roanoke. He is a graduate of Virginia Western Community College with a degree in administration of justice. He is employed by the Roanoke City Police Department.
After a wedding trip to the Smoky Mountains, the couple will reside in Roanoke.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gary Edwin Glontz of Roanoke, Va. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School, Roanoke, and Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, N.C. He is employed by Tulsa Dental.
The newlyweds will live in Charlotte, N.C., after their wedding trip to Bermuda.
Hodges-Haaz
Sandy Elizabeth Haaz and Terry Lewis Hodges celebrated the joining of their love as husband and wife on July 22, 1995 in St. Barbara Church, Harrison City, Pa. Celebrant was Father Edward Lewis.
Susan Haaz, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Teresa Hodges, sister of the groom; Barbara Haaz and Jodi Smith, sisters of the bride.
The best man was Douglas Hodges, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Michael Hodges, brother of the groom; Steve Shelton, friend of the groom; and Brian Smith, brother-in-law of the bride. The bride is the daughter of Mary Ann Haaz of Irwin, Pa., and Theodore Haaz of Kure Beach, S.C., and the granddaughter of Bertha Alfery and the late Fritz Alfery, Mary Haaz and the late David Haaz. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hodges of Christiansburg, Va., and the grandson of Garnet Hodges of Bassett, Va., and the late Tass Hodges and the late Belvaene and Bernard Turner.
The bride graduated from Franklin Regional High School, Murrysville, Pa., and California University of Pennsylvania, California, Pa. She is employed by Catawba Memorial Hospital, Hickory, N.C. The groom graduated from Auburn High School, Riner, Va., and attended Radford University, Radford, Va. He is employed as Motorsports Coordinator for Dale Earnhardt.
The reception was held at the Lamplighter Restaurant, Delmont, Pa. The couple took a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico. They will make their home in Hickory, N.C.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Justice of Vienna, Va. He is a graduate of McLean High School and Radford University and is employed by Nationwide Insurance.
The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, Va., after a honeymoon to Jamaica.

The maid of honor was Leigh Anne Beck, cousin of the bride, of Charlotte, N.C. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Wendy Anderson of Greenbelt, Md.; Elizabeth Ferguson of Lexington, Ky.; Laura Klutz-Wachsmuth of Greensboro, N.C.; and Karen Maas of Tampa, Fla.
The groom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Alex Kreager, brother of the groom, of Greensboro, N.C.; David Beck, brother of the bride, of Charlotte, N.C.' and friends of the groom, Tripp York of Greensboro, N.C.; and Jimmy Yount of Winston-Salem, N.C.
