Ginger Marsena BeCraft and David Workman Mitchell, both of Roanoke, are engaged and planning to be married on Sept. 16, 1995. Ginger is the daughter of Mr. Robert BeCraft of Roanoke, and the late Patricia A. BeCraft. She graduated from Roanoke Valley Christian Schools and Liberty University.
David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Mitchell of Moneta. He graduated from Clifton Forge High School, Ferrum College, and Virginia Western Community College.
Both Ginger and David are employed as Registered Nurses by Lewis-Gale Hospital.
Conner-Whiteley
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Steven Conner, Vinton, Virginia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Christi Sue, to Mr. Simon Whiteley, son of Mr. Raymond Whiteley, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Ms. Sheila Whiteley, Edneyville, North Carolina.
Christi is a graduate of William Byrd High School and Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. Christi resides in Hendersonville, North Carolina, where she is a fashion designer currently specializing in childrens wear.
Mr. Whiteley is a graduate of Elston High School, Michigan City, Indiana, and attended the College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is self-employed as a decorative painter and in the restoration of fine older homes.
Ms. Conner and Mr. Whiteley also deal in antiques in Hendersonville.
An October wedding is planned in Roanoke.
Cuzzocrea-Burke
Dr. and Mrs. Anthony Diego Cuzzocrea of Roanoke, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Maria Christina Cuzzocrea, to Clarence Norment Burke, son of Mrs. George Anderton Burke of Alexandria, Va., and the late George Anderton Burke. Miss Cuzzocrea graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Va., and is presently employed with The American Psychological Society. Mr. Burke graduated from Saint Stephen's School in Alexandria and The University of Virginia in Charlottesville and is currently the president of Julian T. Burke, Inc. A late fall wedding is planned.
Dowdy-Polk
Mrs. Norma B. Dowdy announces the engagement of her daughter, Julia Marie Dowdy, to Kurt Andrew Polk, son of Col. and Mrs. Robert C. Polk of O'Fallon, Illinois.
The bride-elect graduated from Salem High School and from the University of Virginia. She is employed at USAA Federal Savings Bank, San Antonio, in Loan Servicing. Her finance' graduated from O'Fallon High School and from Virginia Military Institute. He is a Lieutenant in Contracting at Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio. Both are working on their MBAs at St. Mary's University, San Antonio.
The couple plan to marry May 18, 1996 at the R.E. Lee Memorial Ch urch in Lexington, Virginia
Griffith-Boothe
Aimee Raye Griffith and Richard Matthew Boothe are engaged and planning to be married in June of 1996 in Cave Spring United Methodist Church, Roanoke. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Griffith of Marietta, Ga. SheO graduated from Pope High School in Marietta, Ga. and Virginia Tech with degrees in Music and Graphic Art. She is employed by Partyrama in Blacksburg and teaches private saxophone lessons. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Boothe and Mr. and Mrs. David Arthur, all of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and is a senior at Virginia Tech majoring in Computer Engineering.

Rebecca Karen Pittman and Jeffrey Cole Hinchee are engaged and planning to be married October 7, 1995, in Hickory, N. C. Miss Pittman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Pittman. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is employed by Rehability Hand Center. Mr. Hinchee is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Hinchee of Roanoke. Leigh Ann Skeens and Dan E. Presley are engaged and planning to be married September 16, 1955, in Emory, Va. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas M. Skeens of Glade Spring, Va. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John M. Presley, Salem. They are both employed by Dept. of Veteran Affairs.
