SIGMON WINS AT FCS

Rick Sigmon of Rocky Mount set track records of 13.91 seconds and 97.122 miles per hour in picking up his first win of the season at the Star City Auto Parts/Gilley's Mountain Homes 300 at Franklin County Speedway Saturday night.

Bobby Radford finished second, followed by Butch Isom, Steve Lynch and Lowe Smith.

In other races Saturday:

Mile Elkins won the Street Stock division, finishing ahead of Mike Dudley, David Stout, Leon Dalton and Bobby Gillespie.

In the Mini Stock division, Travis Sharp took the checkered flag, followed by Rodney Campbell, James Cox, Chris Martin and Stacy Laprade.

In the Pure Stock race, Kelly Kingery was first, followed by Red Hartman, Greg Tester, Tom Dooley and Jay Peery.

Ricky Ferguson won the Rookie division, followed by Bobby Davis, Mark Stoner, Scott Foley and David Duncan.

Chris Hatchett won the Trucks race; Tommy Hall was the Anycar winner.
