THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY of Grandin Court Baptist Church will be observed with guest pastors preaching in October. The Rev. Dr. Steve Spangler of Durham, N.C. will preach on Oct. 8. On Oct.15 and 22, respectively, retired former pastors, the Revs.Charles Watkins and Robert M. Hamner will preach. The Rev. Dr. Michael Clingenpeel, editor of The Religious Herald, will preach Oct.29.
A congregational birthday party will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 with the 50th anniversary dinner at 1 p.m. on Oct. 29 at Holiday Inn-Tanglewood.
JOHN SCOTT, organist at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, will perform Oct. 15 at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church in a 10th anniversary recital. No tickets are required , but an offering will be taken.
RED HILL BAPTIST CHURCH, 6251 Franklin Road, will hold a revival Sept. 10-13 at 7 p.m. each day. The revival speaker is the Rev. Rick Elmore. Pete and Barbara Roberts are the scheduled musical performers.
NEW GRACE, a Southern gospel group, will perform Saturday at 7 p.m. at Trinity Church of God Worship Center on Garden City Boulevard.
THE RAINBOW FOREST BAPTIST CHURCH choir and drama team will present the musical "Love Will Be Our Home," Sept. 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. at the church, 3485 Rainbow Forest Drive, Troutville.
