POWELL VALLEY UPENDS RADFORD

The Powell Valley High football team didn't get to be the defending Group A Division 2 champion by being a one-man gang. Still, Radford saw all of tailback Thomas Jones that it needed to.

Jones ran 21 times for 240 yards and three touchdowns as the Vikings pulled away in the second half for a 28-7 non-district victory at Bullitt Park.

Jones had 113 of his yards and two of the touchdowns in the second half and the Vikings (2-0) held Radford (1-1) scoreless. In the first two games of the season, Jones has 527 yards and nine touchdowns.
