Junior Amy Heath added 21 points for the Vikings (5-5), who avenged last Tuesday's overtime loss to the Indians (3-7) in Blacksburg.
Northside held a two-point lead after the third quarter, but Blacksburg's April Rogers scored 11 of her 18 points in the fourth period to help force overtime.
Rogers' 3-pointer gave the Indians a three-point lead with less than a minute remaining in regulation. Northside pulled even with four seconds remaining on Heath's inside basket.
Heath and Rogers each scored three points in the first overtime, which was the only scoring in that period.
Heath scored 12 in the first half for Northside; Barrett nine.
The Vikings' bench suffered a blow in the first quarter when Erin Weaver, the top forward substitute, left the game with a possible broken nose.
