Mary Gafford Snider and Jason Roman Adamchik were married Saturday, September 30, 1995 at four o'clock. The ceremony took place at Blacksburg Presbyterian Church in Blacksburg, Virginia with the Reverend D. Cameron Murchison, Jr. officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Howard Snider, Jr. of Blacksburg and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Marion James of High Point, N.C., Mrs. Edgar Howard Snider, also of High Point, N.C., and the late Mr. Snider. She is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and attended Sweet Briar College in Amherst, Va. She is employed with TRI-PLEX Systems Corporation.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel William Adamchik of Crestwood, Ky. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Adamchik of Louisville, Ky., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barabas of Louisville, Ky. He is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph's High School in Baltimore, Md., and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va. where he received a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering. He is Regional Engineer for Cintas Corporation at their Baltimore location.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Laura Cecilia Powell of Blacksburg, Va. as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Deborah Lynn Worley, also of Blacksburg; Amanda Hubbard Dill of Christiansburg, Va.; Sandra Lee Harris of Richmond, Va.; and Theresa Adamchik of Crestwood, Ky., sister of the groom.
The groom chose Jeffrey Kemble of Catonville, Md., as his best man. Groomsmen were Brain Bean, also of Catonsville; Bryan McNamara of Massapequa Park, N.Y.; William Joseph Adamchik of Crestwood, Ky., brother of the groom; and Edgar Howard Snider, III, PA-C of Lake City, Fla., brother of the bride.
Music was provided by Mrs. Kathy Burkhart, organist and Dr. Allen Bachelder, trumpeter. Mrs. Angela Overstreet gave the scripture reading. Following the wedding rehearsal on Friday night, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in the Olin Preston Room at the Marriott Hotel. After the wedding on Saturday, the bride's parents hosted a reception at The University Club in Blacksburg.
After their return from a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Columbia, Maryland.

After the wedding trip to Cayman Islands the newlyweds live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Cathleen Dawn Roberts and Kevin David Owen were married September 30, 1995 in First Christian Church, Greensboro, N.C., with Dr. Michael Simpson and Fr. James Parke officiating. The reception was held at Bryan Park Enrichment Center.
Maid of honor was Heather Roberts, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Rebecca Warthen, sister of the bride; Kelly Bowler, and Lisa Slattery. Flowergirl was Sara Warthen, niece of the groom.
The best man was C. Robert Owen, Sr., father of the groom. The ushers were Billy Roberts, brother of the bride; Rick Blankenship, and George Philipp. Ringbearer was Michael Levine, godson of the bride. The candlelighters were Margaret Levine and Erin Levine. Guestbook attendant was Joy Bowman.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Roberts, Jr., of Greensboro, N.C. She is employed by Manpower at Elizabeth Arden.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Robert Owen, Sr., of Altavista, Va. He is a graduate of Roanoke College in Salem, Va., and is employed by World Travel Service.
The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, after their wedding trip to Disney World.
Peters-Woolwine
In a private ceremony on September 29, 1995 at 2 o'clock, Tracey Elizabeth Woolwine and Donald Carson Peters, II were united in matrimony. They would like to thank both friends and family for their support. After honeymooning on the coast, the couple will reside in Botetourt.
\ Pigg-Mattox
Miss Adele Coates Mattox and James Calvin Pigg, Jr. were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Martinsville, Virginia at high noon Saturday, September 30, 1995. Dr. Dwight Olin Christenbury, Jr. officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alec Charles Wilson, Jr. and Mr. Paul Travis Mattox of Martinsville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joseph Coates Carter, Sr. of Martinsville, the late Mr. Carter, Mrs. William Travis Mattox of Martinsville, and the late Mr. Mattox.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Calvin Pigg, Sr. of Richardson, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Calvin Pigg of Bryan, Texas, and the late Mr. Pigg, and Mr. and Mrs. William David Bunting of Bryan, Texas.
The church was decorated with topiaries of white calla lilies, tuberoses, ferns, and caladium leaves.
The organist, Mrs. Robert Theodore Lightner, Jr. of Kernersville, North Carolina, presented a program of wedding music, using for the processional, ``Trumpet Voluntary in D Major'' and ``Trumpet Tune'' by Henry Purcell, and for the recessional, ``Water Music's Horn Pipe'' by George Fredrick Handel.
Vocal soloist was Dr. Judith Cline, and classical guitarist, Dr. William Krause, both of Martinsville.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of ivory silk shantung with a sweetheart neckline and hand-beaded roses adorning the pouff sleeves and dropped basque bodice. She wore dendrobium orchids and tuberoses in her hair and carried an arm bouquet of calla lilies, gardenias, dendrobium orchids, tuberoses, and springeri fern.
Miss Mary Page Manning of Atlanta, Georgia was maid of honor, and wore a ballet length gown of coral linen. The empire style bodice was accented with passementerie and beads. It had an A line skirt and jewel neckline with short sleeves. Her bouquet was cora l shades of roses, gerber daisies, tulips, and freezias.
The bridesmaids, all first cousins of the bride and dressed identically, were Miss Virginia Letcher Carter and Miss Margaret Elizabeth Carter of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Miss Anna Carter Clark of Stuart, Virginia. The flower girl was Miss Avery Elizabeth Bedford of Jackson, Wyoming, niece of the groom. She wore a ballet length gown of ivory eyelet with short pouffed sleeves and a jewel neckline. In her hair was worn a ring of flowers and coral ribbons, and she carried a basket of rose petals.
Mr. Brian Bennett Frost of Fresno, California, served as best man. The groomsmen were Samuel Travis Mattox of Martinsville, brother of the bride; Jack Bedford, brother-in-law of the groom, and Jeffrey Taylor Bedford, nephew of the groom, both from Jackson, Wyoming. Serving as ushers were Joseph Blair Clark of Stuart, Virginia, and Leon Agee Lackey, III of McLean, Virginia, both first cousins of the bride.
After the ceremony, the couple left the church in a 1939 Buick convertible, owned by the bride's stepfather, for a reception at ``Saddlerock Farm'', the home and grounds of the bride's father at Hunt Country Farms.
On their return from a wedding trip to the Canadian Rockies, the couple will live at Irish Gap, Virginia.
The bride is a graduate of Martinsville High School and received a Bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
The bridegroom is a professional guide who owns Cowboy Carpentry.

A luncheon and mother-daughter shower featuring entertainment, was given July 22 by Mrs. Bill Manning and Miss Mary Manning at the Manning home in Martinsville.
A barbecue party was given September 2 at ``Laurel Hill'' in Vesta, Virginia. Hosts were Mr. and Mrs. William Blair Clark, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Riddle, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Vipperman, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Webster.
On September 28, a dinner was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. William Franck, Sr. at Chatmoss Country Club.
A rehearsal dinner was given at the Parish House on September 29. Co-hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Pigg, parents of the groom; Mrs. Dillard Saunders, Mrs. Judy Carter, and Dr. and Mrs. David Vaughan.
\ Priddy-Workman
Dena Morgan Workman and Glenn Robert Priddy, Jr. were married September 30, 1995 at Blue Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Hurt officiating. The bride is the daughter of Jean A. Sanders and Ronald K. Morgan. She is the granddaughter of Ruth G. Adams and the late Herman P. Adams Sr. and Nina J. Holdren and the late Edward W. Holdren, Sr. She is a 1984 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and attended Virginia Western Community College and is employed by Hecht's of Valley View Mall. The groom is the son of Ann B. Priddy and Glenn Robert Priddy, Sr. He is the grandson of Eva A. Bryant and the late Charlie R. Bryant and Ruth H. Cranford and Theodore Priddy. He is a 1983 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and served four years with the U.S.A.F. He is currently employed by Norfolk Southern Corporation.
The bride, escorted by her brother, Jeffrey D. Morgan, was given in marriage by her parents.
Elaine T. Massey was matron of honor. Attendants were Amanda G. Priddy, sister of the bridegroom, Angela D. Leonard and Jennifer L. Crook. Krystal Fritts was junior bridesmaid. Best man was Richard A. Wilson. Ushers were Brian J. Ulrich, Albert F. Jennings and Zane A. Craig. Leslie Leonard was flower girl and Tyler Wright was ring bearer.
The reception was held at the Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel in Roanoke. The couple will reside in Goodview after their wedding trip.
