Grayson County (0-10) took a 15-12 first-quarter lead, but Carroll County outscored the Blue Devils 19-9 in the second period to take a 31-24 halftime lead. The Cavaliers picked up steam in the second half and rolled to victory.
Dana Whittington and Lindsey Carico each scored 11 points for Carroll County (9-6).
Narrows 48, Radford 34: In Radford, Suzanne Webb scored 13 points and Becky Turner chipped in 12 as the Green Wave rolled past the Bobcats in a non-district game.
Webb also had eight rebounds, six assists and four steals for Narrows (9-0).
The Green Wave took a 10-2 lead early in the first quarter and never looked back. Charlee Taylor had 12 points and Crystal Hubbard 11 for Radford (8-4).
Glenvar 52, Shawsville 29: Glenvar's Erika Hale scored a game-high 20 points and took down 14 rebounds as the Highlanders defeated Shawsville in a non-district, turnover-plagued game.
Glenvar took an 8-0 lead to start the game and led 24-11 at the half, but the Shawnees went on an 8-0 run in the third quarter to cut the Highlanders' lead to 12. Glenvar (5-6) started hitting its shots at that point to close with a 19-point fourth quarter.
Amy Layman and Mandy Kennedy combined for nine assists for Glenvar, while Sarah Hagood led Shawsville with 15 points. The Shawnees turned the ball over 32 times to Glenvar's 24.
Auburn 67, James River 47: Crystal Moles scored 14 of her game-high 16 points in the second half as the Eagles overcame a sluggish first half to win a non-district game at Auburn.
Auburn (6-5) trailed 24-19 at the end of a first half that saw the Eagles turn the ball over 16 times. They committed just six second-half turnovers.
Auburn went to a fullcourt press and forced nine turnovers in a 27-10 third quarter run.
Deanna Dickerson had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles. Julie Firebaugh scored 12 points and Heather Vines had 10 for James River.
Giles 54, Craig County 29: In Pearisburg, Kristen White scored 12 points and Keeli Whetzel added 10 as the Spartans whipped the Rockets in a non-district contest.
Giles (6-3) jumped out to a 17-3 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
Craig County is 0-9.
Alleghany 71, Covington 58: Tasha Chapman scored 10 points in the final period as the Mountaineers capped a second-half surge to beat the Cougars in a non-district game at Covington.
Alleghany (8-3) trailed 33-28 at halftime, but outscored Covington (4-6) 23-10 in the third quarter to take control.
Chapman finished with 17 points, Melissa Page had 14, Tracy Cummings 12 and Katie Craft 10. Joanne Helton led Covington with 21 points and Charli Laws had 14.
