Branch & Associates of Roanoke is building new facilities for two university campuses in Virginia.
At Virginia Tech, Branch has a contract for a nearly $13 million four-story, 108,000 square-foot classroom and laboratory. Completion is scheduled for the spring of 1997.
At the University of Virginia, it will build a $4.4 million, 72-student dormitory. The 38,500 square-foot, four-story building will have public spaces on the first floor and housing units on the upper floors. Students will begin using the dorm in the fall of 1996.

Martha S. Moses, a doctor of veterinary medicine, has opened an ambulatory veterinary practice, Eclectic Equine Veterinary Services Inc., on Bandy Road in the Mount Pleasant section of Roanoke County. The practice will cover the greater Roanoke area and Franklin County. Moses is a native of Natural Bridge and a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Express Lube will hold its grand opening at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at 2919 Williamson Road. Mayor David Bowers and the city building commissioner, Ron Brown, will be present. Express Lube, which opened at the site in June, will run specials Oct. 12-14.
McClung Lumber Co., a Roanoke Valley manufacturer and supplier of architectural millwork, has won a contract to supply columns, woodwork and cabinets for the renovation of the G.W. Carver Elementary School in Salem. Avis Construction Co. of Roanoke is the general contractor for the project.
Webb's Oil Corp., a petroleum wholesaler in Roanoke, has started construction of a Petro-Webb commercial fueling facility on a 2.25-acre tract in Lynchburg Industrial Park. The facility, which will open Dec. 1, consists of underground storage tanks, a canopy and an island to serve the gasoline and diesel fuel needs of commercial businesses. Construction cost was not disclosed.

Hillenbrand Industries, Batesville, Ind., owner of Medeco Security Locks Inc. and an electronics division at Salem, reported third-quarter net income of $25.9 million, or 37 cents per share, on revenues of $398.7 million, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $21.5 million, equal to 30 cents per share, on revenues of $377.8 million. For nine months, net income was $81.1 million, or $1.15 per share, on revenues of $1.19 billion, compared with $48.9 million, or 69 cents per share, on revenues of $1.14 billion.
