DUBLIN WOMAN DIES, OTHER HURT IN CRASH

Kathy Jo Kleckner, 37, of Dublin was the woman who died Tuesday after the car she was driving skidded off a secondary road, clipped a utility pole and landed upside down on railroad tracks. Police had not released the victims' names Tuesday pending notification of relatives.

The accident happened off Virgina 747, south of U. S. 11 in an area known as Morgan's Cut near the New River Valley Speedway.

Kleckner died at the scene.

Two passengers, Keri Jo Kleckner, 17, and Ken Warfield, 12 or 13, according to Trooper M. K. Blevins, were flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening. Both are from Dublin and were listed in serious condition Wednesday night.

A fourth victim, Trent W. Viar, 14, also of Dublin, was taken to Radford Community Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday night.

Blevins said based on his initial investigation he could not offer an explanation for the accident.
