Former Virginia forward Junior Burrough signed last week with the Boston Celtics, who drafted him in the second round.
The San Antonio Express-News reported that Alexander, a 6-foot-1 point guard, signed a three-year contract worth $412,000 in the first year. Alexander, who missed the last six weeks of UVa's season after breaking an ankle for the second year in a row, was the 29th pick overall.
``It feels good to have all the pieces in place and begin to prepare for even a better season than we had last year,'' Spurs general manager Gregg Popovich said.
Sources said Burrough received $300,000.
