SCOTT, CHRISTIANSBURG SHUT OUT CARROLL COUNTY

Carroll County High School must have heard somewhere that it is truly better to give than to receive.

Christiansburg took advantage of nine Carroll County turnovers in posting a 21-0 New River District victory.

Blue Demon tailback Mike Scott led the offensive attack, scoring two touchdowns and gaining 80 yards on 13 carries.

Christiansburg improves to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the district. It was Christiansburg's second straight shutout against Carroll County. The Cavaliers fell to 3-3 with the loss, 0-1 in the district.
