Robert E. Fudge, formerly of Roanoke, has been elected national vice president of the Fleet Reserve Associations.
Fudge, now of Charlotte, N.C., entered the Navy in 1944 and retired as a chief journalist in 1968. He has served as associate editor of the Navy Times, director of press and public relations for Seagram Distillers in London, and in the hotel business, primarily with American Motor Inns in Roanoke.
He is a former regional director of the association, which is made up of career and enlisted members of the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
