CHILD DIES OF ATV CRASH INJURIES

A 4-year-old boy died Saturday of injuries he received Thursday when the all-terrain vehicle on which he was riding rolled into the path of a pickup truck on U.S. 460 in Giles County.

State Trooper S.S. Osborne said Brandon Thomas Mulford and a teen-ager were riding about 4 p.m. on a grassy patch in the trailer park where the younger boy lived, when the older boy fell off the vehicle.

Mulford remained on the vehicle, which then rolled onto U.S. 460, where it was struck by the westbound pickup, Osborne said. The truck was traveling at about 55 mph.

No charges have been filed.
